Best. Saturday. Ever.

Saturday we spent the morning being productive, cleaning out my apartment. Since we were already up near our friends, we decided to pop over for some pool time. Sipping Corona Light and floating around in a pool is probably my favorite way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Top it off with an excellent Italian meal at a fabulous restaurant, and it's safe to say we had one of the best Saturdays ever.

Procreate with Friends

After a Saturday spent at L's beautiful baby shower, watching her open cute presents, eating her delicious tastings, and all of the awww's and sooo cute's you can take in for one day, I have decided that I would like to procreate with friends. Not that you can always plan these things, but if given the opportunity, I sure would like to!

My friends J&J&L are all preggers right now, and it is absolutely breathtaking and heartwarming to be around these grateful mommies and their cute smiles and their funny stories about experiences I don't know how to relate to. But that's just it, I don't know how to relate. And all of these things, albeit beautiful and magical...are overwhelming, terrifying, and real, people. Thank goodness they have eachother. Because no matter how many times your mom or your sister did it, it wasn't now. For example, while shaving your ahem may have been overlooked in the 80's, I would like to know what I need to do now, in 2009, in order to keep these areas maintained, even though I can't see past my gigantic child-bearing tummy.

So, when boyfriend and I are ready to take the plunge, I hope it is alongside some of my most trusted girlfriends. Hey, just because I look really cute with a baby, doesn't mean I know what the hell I'm doing yet.

Love to my friends

I love my friends. Last night was great, we had the best time at the No Doubt show and I'm looking forward to tomorrow night's party. Girl time and pedicures here we come! :oP

Damage Control

Today I will vent. And so, I will also post a ridiculous picture of me to lighten the mood.

Sometimes people will act as if they are your friend, and you fall for it. Sometimes that same said friend will take a trip with you, embarrass the shit out of you in more than one public place, make remarks that you would only expect from someone who isn't your friend, and have selfish behaviorisms that show their lack of interest in forming friendships with the true friends you do have. Unfortunately, you can't win them all. But what you can do is move on.

Life lesson #5,698: It is impossible to please everyone, and you really shouldn't try.

Monday April 13th

Sadly, we leave Key West today and head toward that thing called home. Although it's a short few hours away, it feels like we've been on another planet with all of the excitement and adventure we've had.
I think I'll share my top 5 favorite experiences of this trip:

1. Camille and I really bonded, and I feel like we're the closest we've ever been.
2. Trust your instinct, appreciate your true friends, and "everyt'ing's gonna be alright"
3. Who's driving? and Dinner's on me! while normal sayings back home, will forever be great jokes between us
4. Snorkeling is fun even when you can't see shit
5. Sometimes drag queens can dance better than you can
