Mother came to visit

Last Sunday, Mother came to visit since my brother and his girlfriend were in town.

We had a nice brunch.

Friday night we had the best time dancing, and laughing with family and our friend-family.

IV Coffee Drip

Needing serious coffee injections today.

This is due to copious amounts of lasagna-making, mixed with many glasses of delicious wine.

MIA

Sorry I've been MIA much of this week.

My brother is on his way today, and every night, boyfriend and I have been rearranging, remodeling and redoing everything in the house.

It looks awesome now though, but dang....my social life is suffering.

This Friday boyfriend and I stayed in and relaxed, watched movies and did nothing.

Rollerblade

Did I ever tell you that I love to skate? Any kind really, but the four wheel speed skate went out of style with scrunchie socks and side ponytails...so now I just rollerblade. My whole family is awesome at skating. My brother was actually in competitions in the Junior Olympics for fancy rollerskating. And, what I mean by fancy is, twirls and sow cows and shit. It was hi-larious. He had a perm and wore tight spandex outfits with rhinestones and v-neck collars. Awesome.

Work and Stuff

Next week my brother is coming in town, and many things must be accomplished at home and at work in the next few days.

Old Friend

I forgot to tell you that last Saturday I saw an old friend. The whole weekend was full of reunions. I loved it all very much.

Sunday Funday...Round 1Million

The girls and I always have a nice time when we're poolside. This Sunday was no exception.

Karaoke

We like to sing karaoke.

On Friday night, we managed to make it back to an old dive bar we used to frequent up until a couple years ago.

Reunited

You might recognize the adorable chica on the right of the picture as my blog predecessor.

We reunited after nearly 12 years passed.

And although we weren't close friends in high school, we lived in a small town so it still felt like family meeting up with her.

She's the strongest skinny girl in this county, and an unbelievable magnet for strange happenings and weirdos.

She doesn't make the shit up. Trust me.

I have no pictures to share from the weekend.

We took them all with a friend's camera, which got wet...

It's possible we'll recover them from a sim card but...eh, I'm not that hopeful.

Saturday and Sunday were the same.

Played in the pool all day.

UFC 101 Fight Night

Cheesy

This is a pic from before the concert last night. G and I were at Bubba Gump's, having a cold beverage before the show.

A show that I might add, had quite a few interesting characters. Including a lot of kids, strangely enough. I guess that's a factor when a band has been consistently famous for nearly 20 years. We had an awesome little punk in front of us sporting a pair of chucks...he was five. It was the cutest thing ever to see him rocking the punk rock style at such a small size.

And then there was this poor kid (left). Shame on the parents that let him be so Herman-Munster-esque and cheesy, when his brother gets a cool mohawk.

Green Day

Tuesday night G and I went to the Green Day concert.

We stepped out of the VIP elevator and walked right into Tre. Literally.

Bodyguard diversion ensued, add laughter and confusion = we had no idea what happened.

Check out Kaiser Chiefs, they were the opening band and they were pretty rad!

Fishing for Brunch

Sunday we had brunch at one of my favorite places. It's not affordable so we don't go there often, and this was our first time having brunch there, as opposed to dinner.

The coolest part about the Sundy House is the garden along the back of the restaurant. It's a wildlife preserve; and the pool, oh...that's just another place for the fishies...

Best. Saturday. Ever.

Saturday we spent the morning being productive, cleaning out my apartment. Since we were already up near our friends, we decided to pop over for some pool time. Sipping Corona Light and floating around in a pool is probably my favorite way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Top it off with an excellent Italian meal at a fabulous restaurant, and it's safe to say we had one of the best Saturdays ever.
